PENGUIN RESCUE FUND

Skeinz is pleased to launch it's special Penguin Rescue Fund. This is our way of being able to take all the goodwill, time & effort people have donated in knitting jumpers for the oil effect penguins of the Bay of Plenty after the Stranding of the Rena container ship in October 2011.
The idea was established by the Penguin Foundation in Australian after the oil spill in Tasmania in 2002. They too were overwhelmed with jumpers, kindness & goodwill & this idea is what they did to turn that goodwill into something tangible to help the penguins moving forward after the disaster. All the funds generated from the sale of the jumpers will go directly into the Skeinz Penguin Rescue Fund. Make sure you follow the progress of this journey via our blog.
