Being based in Napier we know all about earthquakes and how it can reshape and redefine a community. What warms my heart is seeing the incredible resilience of all the rural kiwi's from North Canterbury to Sedden who just open their homes to stranded strangers, roll up their sleeves, chuck on the gumboots and get on with the job of putting their cracked community back together. Mother Nature may be able to break the earth, but it takes a lot more than an earthquake to fracture the fierce kiwi spirit.
Being this far away can render you a little helpless, but the best way to help is to raise funds for those in the effected areas. A few days before the quake struck we launched a new Urban shade called Sea Holly and it only seemed apt we use this as a vehicle to help raise funds for the Red Cross. We have taken a $1.05 off the price for you and we will donate another $1 dollar to the Red Cross - so you can buy it now for $3.95 a ball.
To all our friends in the effected area - Kia Kaha, stay strong, we are all thinking about you and hopefully this little token will help you get your special place on earth back together again soon.
