To fit head sizes: Small 19-20″ (21-22″, 23-24″)/48-51 cm (Medium 53.5-56 cm, Large 58.5-61 cm).

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Brim circumference: 15″ (16″, 17″)/38 cm (40.5 cm, 43 cm); blocked and unstretched.
Length from base of brim to top centre of crown: 7″ (7.5″, 8″)/17.5 cm (19 cm, 20.5 cm).

GAUGE
26 sts and 36 rnds = 4″/10 cm in Stockinette stitch knitted in the round with US 4/3.5 mm needles, after wet blocking.

“Lace” panel (see charts) = approx. 3″/7.5 cm at its widest (20 sts)

YARN
Approx. 131 yds (175 yds, 219 yds)/120 m (160 m, 200 m)/ of Dartmoor by Happy-Go-Knitty (100% BFL 437 yds/400 m per 100g skein) in colourway “Pot of Gold”.

If substituting, Approx: 131 yds (175 yds, 219 yds)/120 m (160 m, 200 m) fingering-weight yarn.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
Size US 3/3.25 mm circular needle 16″/40 cm long.
US 4/3.5 mm circular needle 16″/40 cm long & the same size for knitting small circumferences.

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
